Detailed itinerary

Day 1

Transfer from Murchison falls and Rhino trekking

You will have to drive to the northwest region from Kampala the capital city, while on the way to Murchison falls visit the impressive Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking experience which takes one and a half minutes then continue to for lunch on the way. After there proceed to the park and go straight to the northern bank with a 4:00pm ferry heading for an evening game drive. Transfer to Heritage safari lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning game drive and boat cruise

Have morning breakfast then you will be driven up by your driver for the morning game drive and Buligi game track on the northern bank with the help of a trained ranger guide. You can spot a variety of animal species in the Nile valley like the buffaloes, elephants, lions, giraffes, waterbucks, oribs, baboons, jackals, Jackson’s hartebeest, and Rothschild giraffe among others. Return back to the lodge for refreshments, lunch and have a nap. Later in the afternoon head out for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile up to the bottom of the falls spotting the bank residents like the hippos, crocodiles plus the  bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Morning game drive and visit to the top of the falls

Delight in morning breakfast after head out for early morning game drive so as to catch up the early nocturnal and the hunters before the go to hiding places. You can experience the major game tracks that is queen and Albert for clear view of the wildlife like antelopes, buffaloes, elephants, lions, hyenas, waterbucks, Jackson’s hartebeests, bushbucks, Uganda kob, leopards among the rest. Return to the lodge for lunch and later at exactly 2: oopm cross with the ferry to the other side of the park and drive to the top of the falls where you get a clear view of the park’s natural beauty. Here you can view how the Nile water compresses itself through a narrow gorge which forms a thunderous roar and amazing rainbow. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Nature walk and primate trekking

After morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Budongo forest where you will carry out your nature walk experience and primate trekking. You have to be divided in the group of 8 people and availed an experienced ranger guide who will lead you through the tracking experience. Tourists are advised to walk along with the drinking water and some eateries because the trekking may take long. During trekking you will be able to sight different animals like the chimpanzees, bush pigs, baboons and others. You will also have chance to view bird species and other wildlife species. After transfer to Masindi town for dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 5     

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have morning breakfast and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park basically with the western Albertine rift valley environment with an en-route lunch. Proceed to the park, check in at the lodge have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6     

Kazinga channel boat cruise and Maramagambo forest walk

After morning breakfast then walk down to the kazinga channel for a boat cruise between lakes Edward and George. Here is the best place to watch and view almost all the wildlife in this park.  After return to the lodge for lunch and refreshment, later proceed with the bush walk through the Maramagambo forest one of the major forests in Uganda. This forest is a home a large number of primates, a diversity of butterflies, birds and forest dwellers. You can also visit the volcanic caves which are habitats to thousands of bats, snakes and pythons. There after return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7

Transfer to Lake Mburo and departure

Delight in a delicious breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo for a walking safari, view wildlife like the crocodiles, waterbucks, hippos plus other wildlife in and along the water body. After then proceed with the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe international airport to catch up with your scheduled flight.
