Detailed itinerary

Day 1

Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

You will be transferred from Entebbe international airport or from your point of pick up to Murchison falls national park. You will have an enroute lunch in Masindi town after then proceed to the park where you will be welcomed by the Budongo forest and the road side baboons, check in, have dinner and then an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 2

Exploration of Murchison falls national park

Delight in a morning breakfast then head out up to the top of the falls where you will see the Nile squeezing itself through a narrow gorge of 8 meters wide. Have some good time at the top of the falls taking photos. You will get packed lunch from red chili rest camp and then proceed for the mid-morning boat cruise on Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. Viewing the bank residents like large schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes and the rich birdlife on the papyrus banks. Return to the lodge relax or do some swimming then in the evening head out for an evening game drive where you will spot the park residents like leopards, hart beast, oribs, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, bush pigs and lots more. Return to the lodge have dinner and then an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 3

Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi forest national park

Have early breakfast and check out for an early morning game drive so as to catch the early nocturnal and hunters before they go to their hideouts. Encounter the major game tracks, Albert for sighting of wildlife which include lions, giraffes, antelopes, jackals, leopards, buffaloes, bushbucks, Uganda kob, oribs, hyenas, waterbucks, elephants and lots of more. At exactly 11:00am you will be crossing with a midmorning ferry and embark on the journey to fort portal town with an enrout lunch. Arrive in the evening, check in have dinner and then an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 4

Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Delight in morning breakfast then transfer to Bwindi forest national park via the ishasha sector which is south of Queen Elizabeth national park while viewing the tree climbing lions which are not seen anywhere except in the large low limbed fig trees of the ishasha sector. Proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, check in at the lodge have dinner and then an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 5

Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Have morning breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the do and don’ts while in the forest. You will be briefed on how and where to track the mountain gorillas. After they divide you into groups of 8 people and avail you with a ranger guide who has the knowledge on where to track the mountain gorillas. The activity takes 30 minutes to a half of the day since you may not know where the gorillas nested the previous day. On meeting the gorillas, you are allowed only one hour enjoying the thrilling moment with the gorillas learning their lifestyle and taking photos. After return to the lodge for lunch and you can proceed with the optional community walk. In the evening transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening boat cruise which takes you to your accommodation in Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 6

Back to Kampala

After a delicious morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and set off back to Kampala having a stopover at the equator to have some remembrance photos and buying some souvenirs. Then your driver will drop you at the hotel or Entebbe international airport to catch up with your scheduled flight back home.
