  1. Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison falls is the largest and oldest national park situated western part of Uganda covering districts of Bulisa, Kiryandongo and Nwoya. This park is a home to the awe-inspiring Murchison Falls where the Nile River crashes through a narrow gorge. Visitors take boat tours to see hippos, crocodiles and a variety of bird spices. You can also have a spectacular view of the powerful Murchison falls which is the top of the Nile during your visit.

Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is known as the ultimate gorilla experience safari destination in Uganda due to large population of wildlife it hosts including the endangered mountain gorillas.   1. Queen Elizabeth National Park

Initially the park was known as the kazinga channel then it was named Queen Elizabeth national park after the coming of the queen of England queen Elizabeth ll in 1950’ to honor her. This park is a home to a variety of wildlife including hippos, elephants, warthogs, mangoose, leopards, large forest pigs, and buffaloes, black and white colobus monkeys, spotted hyenas, sitatunga, L’Hoest’s monkeys, crocodiles, chimpanzees and civet among others. Visitors can take guided tours to see these animals up close and take a boat tour on the Kazinga Channel to see the hippos and crocodiles.

Lake Bunyonyi is known as the place of many birds and is located in South Western Uganda between two districts, Kisoro and Kabale close to the boarder of Rwanda. The lake is known to be the 2nd deepest in Africa and is one of the few lakes in region that is rumored to be bilharzia free and therefore safe for swimming. This beautiful lake is lush hills and has 29 islands that visitors tour on a boat during their visit.

Kidepo valley national park has the largest population of the big games making it the second safari destination in Africa at large. The park is found in the far northeastern part of Uganda nestled among the rugged hills and valleys. It presents countless species of wildlife to see on a wildlife safari through the African wilderness. Lots of wildlife sought after include lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, ostriches and many other bird species, antelopes, etc. that are not in most of the other national parks in Uganda.

This is a district located on the shores of Lake Victoria and is known as the “adventure capital” of Uganda. It’s within Jinja that the famous source of the Nile is located attracting tourists from all over the world.
