Detailed itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable forest

After your morning coffee, you will be picked up by the driver guide and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park. You will have a stopover at the equator for photographs and stretching up. Then proceed to the park with an enroute lunch in Mbarara city. Arrive at your lodge check in relax, have dinner and an overnight stay at your booked lodge.

Day 2

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

Delight in a morning breakfast, meet and greet with your guide then after drive to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas in the forest. After begin the hike which takes 30 minutes to three quarters of the day which depends on where the gorillas nested the previous day. During the trek, you will get chance to view good number of birds on different tree species, have a sight at other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, elephants among others. The park has a muddy steep slope which may requires you to come along with a walking stick and a certain level of fitness is required to have a successful trek. Upon meeting our close relatives, you are allowed only one hour with them while having some talk with the wardens and rangers and also taking photo shot. After have lunch from the jungle then return back to the starting point then to the headquarters and receive your certificate of accomplishment of the trek. There after return to the lode relax and in the evening visit the Batwa community. While with them learn their ways of living and the entire cultural practices. The Batwa were the first group of people to live in Bwindi forest so you can get entertained with their amazing dances, poems and many more.

Day 3

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for canoe ride on the lake

Have morning breakfast, meet your guide once again and drive to the amazing and deepest lake Bunyonyi which comprises of 29 eye catching islands. Check in at the lodge, relax and later head out for a canoe ride to one of the islands called the punishment island. Encounter its history which resulted into this name. You can have a nap while enjoying the sunset with a cup of tea then after return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Transfer back to Kampala

Have a delicious morning breakfast, then checkout of the lodge with great memories of the mountain gorillas back to Kampala or Entebbe international Airport to catch up your scheduled flight back home.
